I just took the Japanese restaurant Bushido's challenge of ten increasingly spicy tuna rolls, we're talking, BIG FUCKING ROLLS, like, ONE takes like 6 bites to finish, fits in my hand etc.
I ate 1-8 (barely could get 8) now while 8 was unbelievably hot, it was also too much for me to eat. I couldn't eat 9 + 10 not because of spice but because of quantity. I felt liked I would puke if I even put a fragment in my mouth.
I only finished 8 because "I NEED A HERO!!!" that song came on while I was holding it, and LOL the college kids at the table next to me, two of them were trying to, but they both stopped at 7. Let me tell you, 7 was fucked up too.
My brother and I did 8 (he finished it... a lot better than I did, but he's the spice god)
we're going back to finish off 9 and 10 later on, which yes, you can do. you still get your picture taken and a bandana but you don't get your picture put on the same board as the "Legends" (like Adam Richmond, host of Man V Food)
I'm upset I couldn't finish. I could've on a better day, but my stomach man... just too full.

the two new SC Melee guys are awesome! They're both nice and funny and cool, and they both
DON'T SUCK AT THE GAME!!!
I mean sure I still won basically every match but they provide me with a challenge, I have to work to beat them. They're different.
and they learn SO fast! I mean, I started out not too impressed but towards the end of the day both of them really revealed their true potential. it was so cool!!!

The theme of this seven will be : songs that have influenced my writing (the more recent the better)
1. Nine Inch Nails - We're In This Together (...NOW)
When I first heard this song, to be honest, I didn't like it. It took a long time for me to "get it" and to appreciate it. This is because of my recent obsession with "The Wretched" and WitT came after on the winamp list, so naturally I would forget and that song started catching up with me, and then I started liking it more than "The Wretched" especially in relation to Trent Lazarus. The latter half (the instrumental) really hits home a little for my creative 'heart'.
Quite recently this song has brought about a very inspiring moment in the series, at least it is so within my mind. Hopefully, I'll be painting this portrait correctly in the now over-hyped book 2 xD
2. Blackmore's Night - Writing on the Wall.
I get a massive musical erection whenever I hear a song utelizing Swan Lake (or being Swan Lake, seriously). Another infamous example is Buck 65's "Way Back When". I love this song. I love BN. This band is such a driving force of the character Natalie Blackmore who is quite a primary antagonist in my new novel series. The name and the songs both, really.
3. Hella - Broken Silence (Silent Spectre's Theme)

Hella made this tune for his crew-mate SS's combo video : still probably the best combo video on the internet. (well, maybe 2nd best to Use Bombs Wis... Never mind)
This song evokes the most badass of imageries in my head. Whenever I want to think of (insert character) having a badass entrance, this is what I listen to. Showing up, kicking ass in complete awe-inspiring style, and saying some typical badass lines. Did I do this for Dragoon? Maybe. Did I do it for Keeno Botami transforming for the first time? Maybe. Did I do it for the thought of "Team 3" showing up and just wrecking people? Absolutely.
PS : I love pretending I know what the "lyrics" are. I find myself saying "I wanna kill with a coat, hila monster" over and over with replacing one word with something else each time. In other words, I'm fucking silly.
4. Immediate Music - Electric Romeo (w/ choir)
So maybe it's stereotypical trailer music. That's what I need to invision a trailer for Firestorm if it were a movie. Which is, in all honesty, how I've been picturing everything I do so far. That's probably why it's not exactly up to standard as a book. I am so concerned with events and scenes that I feel I am often neglecting what makes a novel a novel. Instead, it's some action packed shit that nobody is going to buy. Brr.
Enough of that. This song here, unlike many of the other generic epic music, really brings particular images of Firestorm that no other song does, and as it goes I've been listening to it quite often. I always think of Sparrow saying encouraging words to the team right as the music gets to it's "second half" ... shiver me timbers
5. Epica - The Last Crusade.
This song single handedly created the backstory of Lalah and TJ = YEARS before I made up those characters. When I listened to the song, I always imagined "an unbeatable evil monster" trying to kill a weakned "guy" while this "girl" with fire powers had to fight off the darkness.
If and when you read into Lalah's past during Firestorm... You will find that is exactly what happened. This song evokes the event in my eyes, but unfortunately I feel I'm not translating it to paper correctly. Mostly because... Well, the event has already happened, and unless I pull some "it was recorded by magic DURR" bullshit, the only way for Nate Barton to experience this story is for Lalah to tell him on her own. And so, that's what happens... But... Agh. We'll see.
6. Sonata Arctica - The Last Amazing Grays
More and more my respect for this song grows. It has become one of my absolute favorite songs to sing, up there with Paid in Full. Perhaps I am being misleading with that statement. It has become like Paid in Full in that, I feel that I can sing it mildly well : which is, sadly, not how I feel about Juliet at this point. (I'll get it, though... promise. But why do I get stuck on saying "Promenade" so strangely... fuck my voice!)
PS : No song has gotten to the point where White Pearl is with me, which I can even add new melodies too it and shit. Yeah. I'm fucking pro.
Writing-wise, this song really helps me with Kakko Wolfbrand and writing his parts in the story. He even recites some of the lyrics at one point...
7. The Megas - The Quick and the Blue / Quickman
This song continues, after a brief hiatus, to baffle me with it's beauty and brilliance. I just get so wrapped up in this song, especially the climax. It's pretty obvious intense pieces of music are amongst my favorites...
This song is helping me with something involving Nathaniel and TJ Atticus, though I probably shouldn't say what at this point. Hell, it could change completely by then anyway!
B:1. Bonus! For a non-Firestorm one. One that I am partly ashamed of.
Linkin Park - Lying From You
Don't hit me with those rocks just yet damn it let me explain!!! :p
Kira Tokiyama is a character who would probably get 200 Linkin Park AMV's matched up to his animation. No joke. He's one of "those characters" that they do this in like for DragonBallZ and Naruto (GOD DAMN I HATE RELATINT LoSK TO THAT!!!)
But seriously
"This isn't what I wanted to be, I never thought that what I said would have you RUNNING FROM ME" fits Kira so god damn hard I can't even begin to describe. It, and really, a good portion of Linkin' Park songs honestly fit him so well. That dumb punk angst that so many young guys wanted to pretend they had : Kira has it.
If that dorky guy would stop screaming and ruining the chorus of like every song, I'd be able to say I like Linkin' Park a lot easier. But he doesn't. And I don't. Fuck.
B:2. Sailor Moon R Movie (I think...) - Sailor Scout Transformations.
"The fuck?"
Okay. This one is harder to explain. So when I was like 11-12 I started getting into anime and what was available to me? That's correct. Sailor Moon and DragonBallZ. Deprived of such an interesting art medium as Anime, I indulged myself in these shows like I hadn't any other. I eventually got some OSTs. Cause you know, that's what I do when I like stuff.
So there's this dumb three minute song divided into a sections. Like Sailor Moon transforms, they sing "Sailor Moooooon" and then Mars : "SAILOR MARS! SAILOR MARS!!! nnunununun" like they're all little individual melodies but there is one central melody which just KILLS MY INSIDES, like I melt with "ohhh my goodness" every single time I hear it. It just makes me reflect on some of the sweetest or strangest emotions within LoSK... something I wish would happen more frequently.
I could also go on about how much I like the song "Moon Revenge" and how it effected my outlook on fiction, but I'll save that for another time. Or for AIM if you're really curious.

I like my brain totally making all of Book 2 come to life in my head
while I'm still stuck introducing Nina in the current time-frame
fuuuu~
to stay positive, TJ Atticus, my decidedly favorite character, gained some rather exciting new scenes / words for this upcoming sequel to an unfinished book. (... putting it like that...) He's so sweet. What a gentle soul. It's a shame really.
Natalie Blackmore is growing increasingly attractive in my head. Her abilities are starting to take shape and now when I listen to "Deathaura" it is impossible for me to not see her there. Gorgeous.
Other shit :
1. Caleb's inevitable death has been mapped out in my head... this doesn't necessarily pertain to book 2.
2. Trent and Nina's interaction reaches interesting heights.
3. Pretty sure Azasura -won't- be ressurected. At the very least, not within the trilogy of Caleb/TJ/Natalie's reign.
Also :
Team 3 is pretty cool, now that I finally started making up it's members. I've only gotten two and a half right now but I rather like them. Especially "Stopwatch guy"
Sparrow sure has interesting roles in the future. I really hope I don't screw it up. I feel like I'm screwing the story every time I try to type in it right now...
Part of me wants to just skip to Book 2 but that is honestly a terrible idea. If I get to writing about some changes in characters I haven't even made yet... I don't know. Just keep it all in...
